Microsoft Bookings is a tool included in the Microsoft 365 suite that allows you to easily manage online appointments and bookings. It is especially useful for professionals, support teams, and anyone who wants to give clients or colleagues the ability to schedule meetings independently and in an organized way.
What Microsoft Bookings is for
With Microsoft Bookings you can:
- Create customized types of meetings or appointments
- Define duration, description, mode (online or in-person), and availability
- Share a public or private link for bookings
- Automate appointment management with reminders and Outlook calendar sync
How to create your booking page
Accessing Bookings
To get started, visit book.ms and sign in with your Microsoft 365 account.
Creating a new meeting type
Click on the dedicated icon to create a new appointment type. Give the meeting a title, add a description, and specify the location (physical or virtual via Teams).
Detailed configuration
You can set the appointment duration, choose whether it will be public or accessible only via a direct link, and define your availability. Options include using your Outlook calendar or custom time slots.
Advanced settings
By scrolling down, you'll find the advanced settings section. Here you can configure:
- The minimum lead time required to book an appointment
- The automatic sending of reminders before the appointment starts
Once the setup is complete, click “Save” at the top right to return to the main screen.
Sharing your booking page
At the top right, you’ll find the option to share your booking page: you can copy the link to include it on your website, send it via email, or add it to your email signature.
If you prefer to share only a specific meeting type, click the three dots next to the event and copy the corresponding link.
How it works for the invitee
The recipient will receive an email with the booking link. They can choose the available date and time, enter their information, and confirm the appointment by clicking “Book”.
The event will automatically appear on both your calendar and the participant’s, with the Teams meeting link included.
